Heating Oil Co-op

The Center for EcoTechnology (CET) is pleased to offer its Heating Oil Co-op. The Co-op offers quality oil, fair pricing, and excellent, reliable service.

The CET Co-op provides a fixed mark-up over the dealer’s wholesale cost. This has kept our members’ prices lower than the typical consumer which translates into savings for you. And Co-op members always pay at least $0.05 less than the dealer’s regular customer. The greatest benefits are reliability, full-service and protection from market-driven price increases. In the coldest months, Co-op members usually pay the lowest price for comparable oil and service in the area. Remember, the Co-op’s mark-up stays the same all year, while independent dealers are free to adjust theirs at will.

The CET Co-op sometimes offers Bio-Heat, a cleaner burning fuel that is better for the environment and public health. Bio-Heat is a blend of 5% refined soy bean oil and 95% low-sulfur heating oil. Unlike regular diesel fuel, Bio-Heat comes from renewable sources and produces fewer emissions. Bio-Heat is from American farms and helps to keep our energy dollars at home.
