Have you been wondering what events to attend to celebrate Earth Month? Well, wonder no more! CET’s Outreach Team will be attending these great events below! Don’t forget to stop by to be a human generator as we make electricity, or come say hello to our composting worms. Also, feel free to grab information on how to go green with a no-cost home energy assessment or start investing in local, renewable energy. Every sustainable action counts!

Mount Wachusett Community College Earth Day Fair

Come Celebrate EARTH DAY – Featuring music (12:30 – 1:30 pm), plant a sunflower seedling to take home (free while supplies last), Green Society club raffle and items for sale, displays, vendors, giveaways and more.  Most of the activities to take place 11:30 am – 1:30 pm in the south cafeteria.  Sponsored by Student Life office, Green Society and CATS (Campus Activities Team for Students).

Springfield Museum Earth Day Festival

Set around a tree-lined quadrangle in downtown Springfield, the four world-class museums that comprise the Springfield Museums provide visitors with a wealth of exciting imagery and inspirational artwork. The D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts, the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, the Springfield Science Museum, and the Wood Museum of Springfield History.  The Quadrangle is also home to the Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden, a series of full-scale bronze sculptures of Dr. Seuss’s whimsical creations, honoring the birthplace of Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss. For one admission price, visitors can enjoy all four Springfield Museums and the Dr. Seuss Park. Secure free onsite parking is available around the corner at 21 Edwards Street.
