Reused Materials at Iconica Social Club

By Chiara Favaloro, Marketing Fellow

There is an exciting new addition to downtown Northampton coming soon…Iconica Social Club! This multi-purpose space will serve as a juice and coffee bar, art gallery, event space, and a cozy upstairs study area. Owners Em and Fitzpatrick Withenbury have been working on the renovation of this unique space for over two years and found lots of building supplies from EcoBuilding Bargains! Fitzpatrick and Em say they had a “determination to reuse” and loved finding used items and fixing them up for their space. They noted that old things have much more character and are typically built better. Their renovations look amazing, and this unique space is sure to be a hit!

Inside Iconica Social Club is an impressive array of reused materials from EcoBuilding Bargains that were creatively incorporated into its industrial design. Large items like sinks, cabinets, and salvaged wooden beams were used in the kitchen. However, several smaller items such as outlet covers, book plaques, LED lights, shelf brackets, and bathroom tiles, were also used throughout the building.

Em and Fitzpatrick also wanted to utilize the space outside, so they created Amber Lane Parklet. This was possible due to a collaboration with local community businesses to make this public space a beautiful area for everyone to enjoy!

Stay tuned for our video to learn even more about this innovative space!
