Cashier – Full-time/Part-time

The Center for EcoTechnology/EcoBuilding Bargains has full and part-time openings for retail sales cashier. This position is responsible for handling our POS transactions and helping our customers find the solutions they need for their home improvement projects. On our team, everyone plays a critical role in achieving our goals and meeting our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Create a world-class customer experience through front-end customer engagement and point-of-sale interaction
  • Cash register operations & general cash handling
  • Generate add on sales
  • Promote CET’s other services such as, food waste diversion, high performance building and energy efficiency services
  • As business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary

What You Offer

You should be hard working, motivated, and reliable and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for experience with retail sales or customer service with knowledge of value and use of home improvement materials a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is very helpful. You must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and move freely (including twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.) to perform job duties.

You must have flexible availability – including weekends, and/or holidays. You should be accurate and comfortable with math and currency. 1-2 years of retail cashier and/or retail sales experience preferred. High School diploma/GED preferred.
