EcoBuilding Bargains Positions

EcoBuilding Bargains

EcoBuilding Bargains is the largest used building materials store in New England. Our mission is to keep thousands of tons of trash out of landfills by making salvaged building materials, furnishings and appliances available to people looking for quality bargains. We keep growing and often need some dedicated, hard-working, and enthusiastic people to join our team.

Sometimes we have full and part-time openings in retail and receiving/warehouse and you are invited to submit your resume in case we have an opening. These positions work on the sales floor helping our customers find the solutions they need for their home improvement projects; at the cash register handling cash and credit cards; assisting in pricing, stocking and displaying inventory; and helping customers load their vehicles. Work in receiving involves helping with unloading the trucks, sorting, cleaning and pricing incoming materials and preparing them for sale and may also involve going on the truck to donation sites to load materials for sale in the store.

To work at EcoBuilding Bargains, you must be excited about working around used and surplus materials including cabinets, architectural salvage, building materials, doors, windows, appliances, plumbing supplies, lighting fixtures, and furniture. You should be hard working, motivated, and reliable and have excellent communication skills. High School diploma/GED desirable. We are looking for experience with retail sales or customer service and knowledge of value and use of home improvement materials. Bilingual English/Spanish is very helpful. For all positions, you must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and move freely (including twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.) to perform job duties.

If you find our mission compelling and you are interested in getting your name on the list for now or the future, please let us know by completing an application here. You may include military service assignments and any verified work performed on a volunteer basis.
