Massachusetts Farm Energy Program Offers Workshops to Help Farms and Rural Businesses Apply for Grants
By Megan Denardo, Program Specialist
The Massachusetts Farm Energy Program (MFEP), a joint project of the Center for EcoTechnology (CET) and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR), is hosting two webinars later this month to help farms apply for the upcoming REAP grant.
The Rural Energy for America Program, or REAP, is a federal grant program that provides funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. The Massachusetts Farm Energy Program is able to provide free assistance to farms and rural small businesses throughout Massachusetts who are interested in applying to this grant.
As part of this assistance, MFEP will be holding two webinars later this month: REAP Application Overview and Demystifying DUNS & SAM.
The REAP Application Overview webinar will provide an outline of REAP grant guidelines and application requirements, while the Demystifying DUNS & SAM webinar will walk through the processes for obtaining these numbers step by step. There will be time after each webinar for attendees to obtain individual help, and both webinars can also be attended in person at EcoBuilding Bargains (83 Warwick St. Springfield).
The Application Overview Webinar will be on Tuesday, August 29th, from 10:00-11:00, with time for questions and individual help from 11:00-12:00. This webinar can be accessed via this link, or by calling 914-614-3221.
The Demystifying DUNS & SAM Webinar will be on Thursday, August 31st, from 10:00-11:00, with time for questions and individual help from 11:00-12:00. This webinar can be accessed via this link, or by calling 415-655-0060.
