Community Climate Fund
CET’s Community Climate Fund (CCF) helps colleges, universities, businesses, and individuals support local carbon reduction projects with real community impact.
The fund supports high-impact projects that reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and help communities move toward a more just and equitable low-carbon economy
The Community Climate Fund supports projects that build climate resilience while also delivering health, comfort, and cost-saving benefits to recipients.
Projects are designed to create measurable environmental and social impact while also providing experiential learning opportunities for students.
Revolving Loan for on-farm Energy Projects
Many high-impact farm energy projects are delayed because farms lack upfront capital. The revolving loan fund helps unlock energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements, in partnership with MA Farm Loan programs.
Weatherizing small businesses
CCF helps small businesses cover the out-of-pocket costs associated with insulation, air-sealing, and pipe-wrap installation.
Compost incentives for small business and nonprofits
CCF offers incentives to begin composting, allowing businesses to make the swich without a high up-front cost.
Inclusive Utility Investments (IUI) support
CCF funding helps buy-down the upfront cost of residential energy measures to make IUI financing feasible.
Residential energy efficiency projects
CCF helps homeowners move forward with weatherization by funding barrier removal work like asbestos remediation or removal of knob-and-tube wiring.
Williams College
The Community Climate Fund began with an investment from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Since 2019, Williams College has contributed $700,000 to help unlock practical carbon reduction projects that improve community resilience, building performance, and access to climate solutions.
