Session summary

Reworld partners with CET to conduct outreach and implement programs that identify and divert elemental mercury and mercury-containing devices from the waste stream in the communities it serves. In addition to quarterly newsletters, resource documents, and mercury recycling funding, quarterly meetings are hosted to support communities in achieving the mutual goal of diverting mercury from the waste stream.

These meetings are designed to be interactive, and participants are encouraged to share their experiences, including any challenges that have arisen or best practices they have learned. We will be meeting virtually using MS Teams to discuss the newly available lithium battery videos and how to share Reworld content via different communication channels and platforms.

What is a Universal Shed?

Universal Waste Sheds serve as dedicated locations where residents, schools, and businesses can safely recycle mercury-containing products. They provide a centralized, clearly labeled space for disposal and serve as a constant reminder for residents to bring in items.

Registration is required to participate in this event.
