Making the Switch to Induction Cooking

Induction cooking uses less carbon and is safer and faster than either gas or electric.

Make the switch today and experience the following benefits:

Unlike gas and electric cooktops, which use an open flame or heating element, induction cooking uses electromagnetic energy to heat pots and pans directly.

01

Environmental

Using an induction stove instead of gas cuts your cooking carbon emissions in half.

02

Health & Safety

Induction stoves eliminate indoor emissions that come from gas, decreasing the risk of childhood asthma by 45%.

03

Economic

Induction burners are about three times more efficient than gas. Additionally, you may qualify for rebates.

04

Cook Time

Induction stoves take half the time of gas to bring water to a boil.

05

Cleanup

With smooth surfaces and burners that don’t bake on food, cleaning induction cooktops is a breeze.

06

Precision

Induction burners are quicker to respond to temperature adjustments than gas burners.

Utility Incentives & Programs

We are working in cities and towns by offering Induction lending programs through the libraries.

Lending kits include an induction cooktop 1.5 qt pot with lid, and an 8” frying pan.
