The Goal

Broaden Clinton County’s existing waste reduction efforts beyond restaurants by engaging municipalities, residents, and food businesses in a coordinated approach to food scrap diversion and composting.

The solution

Partnered with CET to implement Waste Reduction Action Days (WRADs), providing hands-on waste assessments, technical assistance, business outreach, and connections to local composting infrastructure.

The program helped expand food waste diversion efforts from individual businesses to a county-wide initiative engaging residents, municipalities, and food establishments.
